We may finally have learned why women live longer than men. Researchers at the University of Liverpool have discovered a bizarre correlation between violence against women and shorter life expectancies of men worldwide. The study found that the average lifespan of men is directly proportional to the amount of female murders in each country. The higher the rates of murders against women, the earlier men die. “Our data suggest that oppression and exploitation harm the oppressors as well as those they oppress,” concluded the study.
