NEXT TIME I’LL WALK
If you’re the pilot of an airplane which you think is a piece of junk, you might want to just get the problem fixed instead of scaring the crap out of the passengers of your next flight. Or, if you’ve had enough of your career, you could broadcast to the entire plane that fact that the plane is a “heap of rubbish.” This, allegedly, is what happened on a Boeing 737 heading out of Edinburgh last week. After that comment, the pilot went on to tell his passengers that they would be taking a different route, because he didn’t think the plane would have enough power to make it over the mountains just north of the airport. He went on to explain that the plane could carry 55 tonnes but was currently carrying about 61 tonnes.“The pilot said due to the weight we would not have enough power to get up, because the aircraft was of limited performance,” said one passenger. The incident occured on a plane operated by FlyGlobespan, which denied that the pilot made the comments and claimed that the passengers must have misunderstood. (The Scotsman)
