CONSERVE WATER, DRINK BEER
Fantastic news for beer-league athletes this week thanks to a Spanish scientist who claims that a pint of beer is a perfectly good drink after a workout. Professor Manual Garzon of Granada University experimented with students doing strenuous exercise in temperatures of about 40ÂșC. In a press conference underneath a banner which read “Beer, Sport, Health,” the good doctor announced that beer is “slightly better” for rehydrating the body than water, and that the bubbles in beer help to quench thirst better than boring old water.
