DOCTOR, WHERE’S THE SNOOZE BUTTON?

If you’re going in for surgery in the near future you might not want to read this: it seems that it is actually possible to wake up during surgery but remain completely paralyzed and unable to communicate with the doctors. That’s gotta suck. The condition is known as “Anethesia Awareness” and happens between 20,000 and 40,000 times in a single year, so your odds are about one in 750 that it’ll happen to you. "I was totally awake and aware but completely unable to communicate or move in any way at all" said one woman who was traumatize by the ordeal. “I heard the surgeon telling the resident to cut deeper and pull harder."
