I SCREAM, YOU SCREAM, WE ALL SCREAM FOR EMPTY, BORING, QUIET CITY STREETS IN THE SUMMER

The death of simple childhood pleasures continues with news out of Britain that the Worcester city council is planning to impose limits on ice cream truck vendors because the music they play to attract the kids has brought complaints of noise pollution from some citizens. The new legislation proposes that vendors will only be allowed to sound their chimes for four seconds at a time, must leave at least three minutes between blasts and must wait two hours between jingles if they park their vehicles.
