Sweden’s “The Madonna of the Orgasm Church” took a step closer to official recognition in that country after a court struck down a legal challenge from a group who sought to ban the church in their community. The new religion was founded by artist Carlos Bebeacua after his painting titled “The Madonna of Orgasm” sparked a violent protest during the 1992 World’s Fair in Spain. “The orgasm is God,” Bebeacua told reporters. “The orgasm should be worshiped.” (TheLocal.se)
