A British opera singer who was performing the national anthems at the Euro 2008 football match between England and Croatia mispronounced the Croatian words and ended up singing about his penis, much to the delight of the Croatian fans and players. Instead of singing Mila kuda si planina - "You know my dear how we love your mountains" - Tony Henry sang Mila kura si planina, or "My dear, my penis is a mountain". The gaffe apparently relaxed the Croatian players enough to help them defeat the English side, prompting Croation fans to call for Henry to be made their mascot for the Euro 2008 tournament. "Tony had a great reception from the Croatian fans and already feels part of their campaign for Euro 2008," said Henry's agent, Douglas Gillespie. (The Register)
